Sweeter than Candy on a Stick

In this series of wall based installations Sarra Badel raises the questions of ideal feminine and the commodification of the female body. Artificial attributes like synthetic hair, nail varnish and fake eyelashes are arranged across the image of a nipple like ornaments with the promise of a better more beautiful self. What is natural and what is artificial? In a world dominated by social medias, the human body and the nipple has become a site of conflict, allowing publication of male nipples, but not those of woman.
